A major disruption occured during Saturday's in-committee debate on GA clauses. Whilst Ireland was telling the SciTech committee how useless his submitted clause was, we suffered a massive incursion from the Political committee across the hall, led by their charismatic Head Chair, a one Charlotte Higgins.

The big Political Cheese declared that her Head Chair's badge had been stolen, and that we were prime suspects. Being entirely the victims here, the SciTech committee denied any involvement in this theft (Even though Austria later confessed to stealing the badge). Thinking us to be lying, they promptly stole the hat right off of our Irish delegate's head and retreated back to their committee.

Feeling that justice must be done, a small sortie was sent into their committee room, and returned victorious, possessing a purple beret. We kept this prize and proudly displayed it at the front of our room, and it is modelled here by our Iranian delegate.

After some frantic negotiations, which at one point resulted in the daring SciTech chair Paddy Wilson being assaulted by the Political committee and needing immediate evacuation via his security team, a truce was reached. The hats were returned, and the Head Chair's badge was found.

This was still preceeded by a stretch of time wherein locked committee doors were essential.

All in all, an exciting event to be recorded in the annals of MCBMUN history.
